Ottawa 7, New Jersey 5 – Box Score

Ottawa Champions LF Coco Johnson snapped a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning and put his team ahead for good with a two-run home run, helping Ottawa earn a win over New Jersey Monday afternoon. Trailing 5-3 entering the inning, Ottawa tied the game on 3B Jordan Caillouet‘s 2-RBI single, and Caillouet scored on Johnson’s blast.

The homer was one of two hits on the day for Johnson, who also drew a walk and scored three of Ottawa’s seven runs. He was one of five Ottawa players with multi-hit games in the win.

RHP Miles Sheehan tossed 3.1 scoreless innings of relief for the win, and LHP Scott Maine shut the door in the ninth for the save.

New Jersey 1B Dean Green hit a two-run homer in the loss for the Jackals.
