New Jersey 10, Sussex County 7 – Box Score

New Jersey scored early and often as they jumped out to an 8-1 lead after two innings of play and would cruise from there to defeat Sussex County by the final of 10-7.

The Jackals collected 12 hits as a team with five batters having multi-hit outings. New Jersey LF Alfredo Marte led the way at the plate going 2-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI. Jackals 1B Conrad Gregor had two hits in four at-bats with a pair of runs scored while C Jason Agresti had a home run and three RBIs in a 2-for-3 day. Designated hitter Richard Stock also chipped in two walks and two runs for New Jersey.

Jackals starting pitcher Eduard Reyes (pictured) tossed six solid innings en route to earning the victory. The 28-year-old gave up two earned runs on four hits and struck out eight batters. With the win, Reyes is now a perfect 3-0 on the season.

For the Miners in the loss, 3B/SS Mikey Reynolds went 1-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored.
