New Jersey 23, Ottawa 8 (Completion of Suspended Game from May 31) – Box Score

In the completion of the suspended game from May 31, the New Jersey Jackals put on quite an offensive show as they rolled past the Ottawa Champions by the score of 23-8.

New Jersey tied a Can-Am League record for most runs scored in a game and also set a new league record for most home runs launched in a contest with seven.

The Jackals collected 24 hits off Ottawa pitching with seven batters recording multi-hit games. New Jersey 1B Dean Green went 4-for-6 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs while SS Carlos Truinfel hit a longball, plated three runs and drove in four in a 3-for-6 outing. Center fielder David Harris (pictured) and DH Daniel Canela went a combined 6-for-12 at the plate with four home runs, six runs scored and seven RBIs for the Jackals.

New Jersey pitcher Alberto Rodriguez tossed five innings and notched his third victory of season. Rodriguez gave up three earned runs on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts.


New Jersey 14, Ottawa 1 (Regularly Scheduled Game – 7 Innings) – Box Score

In the regularly scheduled game, New Jersey continued their strong offensive display as they defeated Ottawa by a 14-1 score.

The Jackals pounded out 15 more hits in this contest with six batters collecting multi-hit games. New Jersey 3B Daniel Canela went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI while C Andy Mocahbee tallied three runs and drove in one in a 2-for-4 game. First baseman Dean Green also chipped in pair of hits and three RBIs and RF Nolan Meadows launched a three-run home run for the Jackals.

New Jersey starting pitcher Tyler Levine threw six solid innings in earning his first victory of the year. Levine allowed an earned run on four hits and struck out four batters.

For the Champions, 3B Jordan Caillouet went 2-for-3 and brought the team’s lone run.


Quebec 3, Trois-Rivieres 2 (10 Innings) – Box Score

Quebec 2B/3B TJ White scored the game winning run off a Trois-Rivieres error in the 10th inning as the Capitales won in a walk-off, 3-2.

After a scoreless first inning, Quebec jumped out to a 1-0 advantage in the second as White came home on a C Adam Ehrlich sacrifice fly. The Aigles took the lead at 2-1 in the fourth on an RBI single by DH Taylor Oldham and a run scoring double by C Alex Herceg. The score would stay that way until the eighth when the Capitales tied the contest up at 2-2 as 2B/PH Nick Gotta scored on a single from DH Maxx Tissenbaum. The contest eventually went into extra innings where Quebec won it in the 10th on the Trois-Rivieres 3B Taylor Brennan error.

White went 1-for-4 with two runs scored while LF James McOwen had three hits in five at-bats. Leadoff hitter Yordan Manduley and RF Nick Van Stratten each chipped in a pair of hits for the Capitales.

Quebec pitcher Trevor Bayless tossed two scoreless innings of relief to collect his second win. Bayless fanned three batters in the six batters he faced.
