Quebec 7, Sussex County 3 – Box Score

Quebec scored six runs (five unearned) in the fifth inning to pull ahead 7-1 and would go on from there to defeat Sussex County by a final of 7-3. The win by the Capitales was their third straight.

Quebec had four batters in the game with multi-hit outings including RF Kody Ruedisili who went 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored. Capitales 3B Alan Mocahbee drove in a pair of runs in a 2-for-4 night while CF David Salgueiro (pictured) and DH Tyson Gillies each collected two hits and scored a run. In all, Quebec had 12 hits in the contest.

Capitales starter Scott Richmond allowed one earned run over 6 1/3 innings of work to notch the victory. The righty gave up a walk and 12 hits to go with three punchouts. Richmond is now 2-2 on the season.

Second baseman Trey Hair went 3-for-4 with a run scored in the loss for the Miners.

 

Ottawa 13, Trois-Rivieres 7 – Box Score

After Trois-Rivieres jumped out to a 3-0 lead through three innings of action, Ottawa took over scoring 13 runs over the next five and coasting to a 13-7 win over the Aigles.

The Champions pounded out 18 hits in the contest with six batters having multi-hit games. Ottawa 2B Maikol Gonzalez led the way going 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs. Champions CF Steve Brown scored a pair of runs and drove in two in a 3-for-6 night while RF Jiandido Tromp and 3B Jordan Caillouet each collected four RBIs. In total, all Ottawa batters scored at least a run and eight of them pick-up at least a hit.

Champions starting pitcher Phillippe Aumont threw five innings and notched his third win of the year. Aumont gave up four earned runs on eight hits and struck out four batters.

For Trois-Rivieres in defeat, C Joe Deluca had a 3-for-5 day with a pair of home runs and six RBIs.

 

Rockland 7, New Jersey 4 – Box Score

Trailing 3-1 through six innings of play, Rockland came alive scoring six runs over their final three trips to the plate and taking home a 7-4 win over New Jersey.

The Boulders jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third inning as DH Blake Grant-Parks hit a solo home run. The Jackals plated three runs in the fourth to take a 3-1 lead thanks to a two-run double by DH Richard Stock and a run-producing single by C Jason Agresti. The score would stay that way until the seventh when Rockland started their comeback by plating four in the inning and grabbing a 5-3 lead. Grant-Parks drove in a pair with a single while 3B Richie Fecteau launched a two-run home run. The Boulders would add two insurance runs in the ninth and the Jackals picked-up a run in the bottom of the inning.

Grant-Parks went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs while Fecteau scored two runs and drove in two in a 2-for-4 night.

Rockland pitcher Nick Kennedy tossed two scoreless innings of relief to grab the win. Kennedy gave up two hits and two walks to go with a strikeout.
